Step 1
To ensure that your coffee brews correctly it is important that you use coarsely ground coffee (we would be happy to send you a grind sample). Add 2 heaping tablespoons of coffee for every 6 fluid ounces of water.
Step 2
Slowly pour water just off the boil (195 degrees to 205 degrees is ideal) to within two inches of the top of the pot, taking care to wet all the grounds.
Step 3
Let steep for one and a half minutes, then thoroughly stir the grounds, remixing them in the water. Top off the beaker with water to within a half inch of the top, then let steep for two more minutes.
Step 4
Position the plunger over the grounds at the top of the beaker and gently press down, forcing the grounds to the bottom of the beaker. Pour the finished coffee into cups.
