The winter holiday season allows us to reflect on events of the current year while continuing to embrace traditions we’ve always known.Here at Fonte, we like each iteration of the Holiday Blend to evoke the universal spirit of the season in its own unique way. It is now our pleasure to offer the 32nd version of the Fonte Holiday Blend.
The foundation of this year’s blendis the Burundi Kibingo natural Oro yeast processed coffee. Designed specifically to influence flavor development in coffee by controlling the microbe environment, the Oro yeast is exposed to the Kibingo cherries in the fermentation tank,coaxing out bright flavors of fresh cranberry, sweet tarts candy, and dried fruits.
The vibrant intensity of Burundi Kibingo is tempered by buttery smooth and nutty washed coffees from the Pacific Islands that support and highlight the pronounced flavors of the Kibingolong into the later stages with creaminess and clarity while contributing comforting chestnut or almond aromatics of their own.
A finishing touch of snappy, cider-like acidity from the Nicaragua Segovia Diamante makes this blend pop. While also adding a subtle rustic note of cedar, the Diamante livens the cup considerably by sharpening the edges with crisp citric clarity.
Together, these coffeesdeliverlong, warm tones of milk chocolate and a caramel mouthfeel while maintaining colorful candied fruit flavors and hints of nutson a buttery body.
